After reviewing the property’s updated insulation and airtightness levels from the initial retrofit, we conducted a full heat loss calculation to determine the appropriate heat pump capacity required for optimal efficiency. We specified and installed an air-to-water heat pump system & upgraded the heating controls to include zoning and smart control functionality, giving the homeowner full control over their energy usage. This solution not only supports a significant improvement in the client’s BER rating but also delivers long-term energy savings and a substantial reduction in carbon emissions.
