Comfort Solutions Retrofit was tasked with enhancing the energy efficiency and overall comfort of this home located in Murrisk. This customer wanted to make home energy improvements aimed significantly at improving their Building Energy Rating (BER). The project involved conducting a comprehensive energy audit to identify areas for improvement. Their goal was to achieve a higher BER through our targeted energy enhancements which were recommended through Comfort Solutions Retrofit, we conducted a pre and post-BER assessment to measure the success of this.

Our Solution

To support the homeowner’s objective of achieving a significantly improved BER, We carried out a home energy assessment to assess the main heat loss indicators and areas that needed improvement. Based on our findings we specified a suite of measures including, wall insulation, mechanical ventilation, new windows and doors and a heat pump system. All the works were executed to a high standard leaving our customers happy. The final outcome was a significantly enhanced BER, improved comforts and a measurable reduction in energy demand and CO2 emissions.

The Results

This project showcases the transformative power of a deep retrofit. The home, originally burdened with a BER of E1, was consuming high levels of energy with poor comfort. After engaging with Comfort Solutions Retrofit, the homeowner saw their property undergo a complete energy overhaul. The end result was a jump to an A2 BER, drastically improved indoor comfort, and a noticeable drop in energy usage. The homeowner now enjoys a future-profofed, low-carbon home tailored for modern living.
