We have been delighted with the work done by Comfort Solutions. The whole process was professional from start to finish. The preliminary quotation was comprehensive and so allowed us to get a very good idea of what the total cost would be before we went ahead and agreed to the work. The work was carried out to a very high standard and we were updated on a regular basis and consulted if unexpected issues turned up. The house is noticeably warmer as a result of the work carried out. The place was left neat and tidy and our calls were always returned. We were also made aware of the various grants available for work of this kind, and had the process of application fully explained which is obviously helpful. All in all, we are very happy to have gone with Comfort Solutions and would have no hesitation in using them again, or recommending them to family and friends.

Our little house by the sea in Co Mayo was a dream, but the damp was a nightmare. I looked into external insulation first as a solution for the damp which was breaking out on all the internal walls. The walls were concrete, there was condensation streaming down the inside walls in winter, and rain was penetrating all the window cills and surrounding walls. The skirting boards were wet and rotting. We decorated a couple of rooms, but months later, white mould was coming through again and the paint peeling off.

In 2012, I engaged Comfort Solutions Ireland to insulate and damp-proof the house. External insulation has not only completely cured the damp, but has made the house cosy and warm to live in even in winter, and far more economical to heat. We have had great Christmases there the last two years. You can even have a shower in the bathroom and the walls and mirror are dry minutes afterwards! Fergus was extremely helpful in planning the insulation and additional measures, like putting in a damp course and attic insulation. His technical advice was sound, his knowledge of old buildings is exceptional and he knew all the ins and outs of grant applications, sending all the paperwork promptly. While the work was going on, he was always willing to drive over at a moment’s notice and sort out a query. He and his team were cheerful, efficient and professional workers, who got the work done with a minimum of fuss and did not leave mess behind. External insulation makes sense – technically, environmentally, economically. As I say, I first looked into it because of the awful damp we had, but now realise that there are many other benefits. Fergus’s firm was a real pleasure to work with, because they are aware of the conditions in rural Ireland, but also of all the new technologies there are to improve those conditions. Comfort Solutions are doing great work, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I have recently had renovations done to my home which were completed by Fergus and his team at Comfort Solutions and I cannot recommend them highly enough. This work involved external wall insulation, attic insulation, flat roof insulation and covering, replacement doors and windows and an upgrade of the heating system. Prior to undertaking this work, the house was cold and damp but the completed work has meant an amazing transformation to the comfort of living here. I found Fergus helpful and informative, when explaining the proposed works and SEAI Grants which were available, whilst his team on-site were meticulous and tidy, both inside and out of the house. I found the final cost to be excellent value and is borne out by the workmanship and quality of the finished product. Again, I would highly recommend Fergus and his team at Comfort Solutions to anyone who is considering carrying out such renovations.

A fantastic job, I would highly recommend the Comfort Solutions team. They did an extensive insulation retro fit in my house, as well as numerous related tasks. I have done many renovations before: this is the first time the crew got the job done how and when promised, they worked calmly and cleanly, and the result is impeccable. Fergus managed the job effectively, efficiently and pleasantly: his processes are efficient, his advice was solid and the paperwork all clear. They may not be the cheapest outfit in town, but for perhaps a fraction more you get a top class job, done professionally and on a timely basis.

Comfort Solutions Retrofit are absolutely exceptional. In all my years of getting work done on various houses, I have never dealt with such a professional and expert company. From the initial consultation, which was so informative and helpful, right through to the installation of several products and services, this company excelled. Their knowledge of insulation, ventilation, humidity, etc. etc. is quite incredible and they always had proper answers for any questions – no bluffing or BS! The standard of finish left behind them is truly exceptional, and it’s easy to see why they’re so confident and assured in standing over their work. I only wish I found this company 30 years ago!

Amazing job by Comfort Solutions! Great knowledge and advice at the start and perfect implementation of all services! This included external insulation, attic and flat roof insulation, new windows and doors, an air to water heatpump and a mechanical ventilation system. It’s nearly a year since the installation and everything is performing exactly as it was promised. It’s so warm and cosy but also so fresh and airy. We’re so happy with our “new home” and wish we did this years ago, it’s like a brand new house! Comfort Solutions carried out a deep energy retrofit for me in 2010 and were for me, the ideal solution in providing a complete package of home energy, insulation and renewables improvements. I also appreciated their prompt and reliable service and the standard of finish was second-to-none and is often commented on by visitors.
