WHY UPGRADE
Yes. Once the battery is full, any additional electricity will either power your home directly or be exported back to the grid.
No, modern batteries are designed to be low-maintenance, with smart monitoring systems that track performance automatically.
Your home simply switches back to using grid electricity, so you’ll never be without power.
Savings vary depending on your system size, battery capacity and energy usage, but many households reduce electricity bills by 50/80%
Not necessarily, but a battery allows you to store and use far more of your solar energy, often doubling the amount of solar power you actually use at home.
Not realistically. You’ll still rely on the grid electricity at night or during cloudy periods.
A south-facing roof is ideal, but panels can still generate plenty of power on east or west-facing roofs.
Absolutely, hybrid solar PV systems can be upgraded with a compatible battery at a later date.
It’s automatically sent back to the grid for which you will get paid for this.
Yes, even without battery storage, solar panels significantly reduce your daytime energy costs and can still earn you money through export payment.

Because of the standard of work at our house my friend had Comfort Solutions do extensive work at her house and she too is extremely happy with the result.

Before the installation, I had been concerned at how quickly the house could become cold and damp. Many thanks!

We had external wall insulation installed on our detached bungalow and had an attic insulation upgrade during the summer of 2017. We are very pleased with the results as our house is now much cosier in winter time and holds the heat for much longer after the heating switches off which helps greatly with the fuel costs. The work was efficiently done and cooperation with other workmen was excellent, one even remarked on how helpful Comfort Solutions were in leaving easy access to wiring for outside lights and alarm, etc. All services, TV etc. were left in working order when finished. Even after full payment was made, a workman was sent to make a minor adjustment to downpipes. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Comfort Solutions Retrofit.
Comfort Solutions carried out a deep energy retrofit for me in 2010 and were for me, the ideal solution in providing a complete package of home energy, insulation and renewables improvements. I also appreciated their prompt and reliable service and the standard of finish was second-to-none and is often commented on by visitors.

Their workmanship was of the highest standard and I am absolutely delighted with the finished product. This firm was recommended to me, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is thinking of getting a renewable energy source in their home. I hope to get a heat pump installed next year, and I will be asking Comfort Solutions to install that for me also.
Thanks again Comfort Solutions.

The attic and cavity insulation has made the place much more cosy and the extract ventilation system has greatly improved the air quality. We never see condensation on our bathroom mirrors anymore! Fergus was very accommodating with all our questions and Gloria was always quick to get back to any queries over e-mail. The lads who came out to do the work were a pleasure to deal with and always showed up when they said they would. If they couldn’t be there at a certain time they always let us know the day before so there was no inconvenience to us. Any minor issues we had since the work was done have also been dealt with promptly and without any fuss. We really couldn’t fault our experience with Comfort Solutions at all and hope to hire them again in the future.

I have done many renovations before: this is the first time the crew got the job done how and when promised, they worked calmly and cleanly, and the result is impeccable. Fergus managed the job effectively, efficiently and pleasantly: his processes are efficient, his advice was solid and the paperwork all clear. They may not be the cheapest outfit in town, but for perhaps a fraction more you get a top class job, done professionally and on a timely basis.
Got an upgraded wood pellet boiler fitted in December 2021, workmanship of all the crew and knowledge was excellent. We are delighted with our solar PV installation and could not recommend the installers enough. Comfort Solutions Retrofit were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We would also like to commend the office team on the simplicity of the grant application process.

Amazing job by Comfort Solutions! Great knowledge and advice at the start and perfect implementation of all services! This included external insulation, attic and flat roof insulation, new windows and doors, an air to water heatpump and a mechanical ventilation system. It’s nearly a year since the installation and everything is performing exactly as it was promised. It’s so warm and cosy but also so fresh and airy. We’re so happy with our “new home” and wish we did this years ago, it’s like a brand new house! A huge thanks to the whole crew at Comfort Solutions, you were a pleasure to have in our home and made us comfortable with what was a large and intrusive project. Even the cats didn’t mind!! I have no hesitation in highly recommending this company, super job.
