Passive Ventilation

Vent and draught graphicPassive-type ventilation is simply ventilation which operates in a passive manner, ie. with no mechanical assistance. Passive ventilation can be as simple as opening a window or having a simple hole in the wall, as is often seen in Irish dwellings.

Comfort Solutions Ireland offers a range of ventilation options but we only provide high quality products which are fit for purpose and that won't cause excessive occupant disturbance or discomfort in cold or windy conditions. We do not supply "Hit & Miss" type ventilation products which are often seen in Irish homes.

For more ventilation options and products, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Fresh Air Wall Vents

Passive fresh air ventComfort Solutions Ireland offer a range of high quality Fresh Air Wall Vents, which provide ventilation to habitable rooms in dwellings. Fresh Air Wall Vents are cost effective but are much more advanced that the typical wall vents that have been installed in Irish homes for many years.

All vents contain a dust and insect filter and a condensation shield is built into the front cover. The 25mm sponge filter also acts as a sound damper and draught reducer. Filters are re-usable, washable and very simple to change. There are also a wide range of storm and allergy filter accessories available.

Window Trickle Vents

Trickle vents insideFor certain window types, Comfort Solutions Ireland may be able to retrofit Trickle Vents to your windows. These are discreet, strip vents, in a colour matching your windows, usually fitted to the top of a sash frame. The window frame is bored using a sharp drill bit and then the Trickle Vent covers are installed. On the exterior side, a weather proof hood is placed over the vented area. On the interior side, a closable flap is intalled. This has a rubber seal and clips closed to ensure a firm closure and no whistles or draughts.

Our trickle vents can meet Building Regulations Part L for ventilation in habitable rooms. Our installers will fit your trickle vents professionally and neatly without any damage to your window.
