Comfort Solutions - Passive Ventilation

For certain window types, Comfort Solutions Ireland may be able to retrofit Trickle Vents to your windows. These are discreet, strip vents, in a colour matching your windows, usually fitted to the top of a sash frame. The window frame is bored using a sharp drill bit and then the Trickle Vent covers are installed. On the exterior side, a weather proof hood is placed over the vented area. On the interior side, a closable flap is intalled. This has a rubber seal and clips closed to ensure a firm closure and no whistles or draughts.

Our trickle vents can meet Building Regulations Part L for ventilation in habitable rooms. Our installers will fit your trickle vents professionally and neatly without any damage to your window.

Effectiveness of this type of ventilation will depend on atmospheric conditions, temperature differences and wind. These are a cost effective solution for habitable room ventilation but would not be considered as effective or controllable as the Fresh Air Core Vent.
